Comments Thread For: Lewkowicz Wants Oscar Escandon-Tyson Cave Rematch

Promoter Sampson Lewkowicz sends his congratulations to his fighter, Colombia's Oscar Escandon (24-1, 14 KOs), who captured the interim WBA super bantamweight title with a 12-round split decision over Canada's Tyson Cave (22-3, 6 KOs), Thursday night at the Pechanga Resort & Casino in Temecula, California.

But because of the controversy over the scoring (117-111, 115-113 Escandon against 115-113 Cave), Lewkowicz also has a strong assurance for Canada's Tyson Cave, whom he also promotes.

Terrible decision. There doesn't need to be a rematch, this decision simply needs to be reversed by the commission and the judges need to be suspended.

Those 2 judges were on a different planet watching a different fight. Escandon won one round. That was the biggest robbery in a fight since they gave Bradley the decision over Pacman. Teddy Atlas went off when the decision was announced and he had every right to. Those guys were corrupt and maybe paid off.
