Comments Thread For: Hatton Says Mayweather-Pacquiao Situation is Pathetic

Manchester legend Ricky Hatton, now a full fledged promoter, is one of the few common opponents of both Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao. He was stopped by Mayweather in ten rounds in 2007, which was Hatton's first career defeat. Two years later he was knocked out cold in two rounds by Pacquiao.

Back then, the biggest fight in the sport was Mayweather vs. Pacquiao. Nothing has changed over the years. Fans are still demanding the fight, but the two sides don't appear to be any closer to reaching an agreement.

Floyd seems to be taking the piss and has done for some time .The amount of money floyd earns the least he could do is fight the fights the fans really want to see none of the silly ballots he 's put forward between two sub top level fighters , put Mannys name in that ballot and see what happens. No all's Floyd will try and get away with is to fight the other guy Khan if he can possibly get away with it.This should not be allowed and showtime have been mugs to allow this who ever put this lose agreement together should be ashamed.

Floyd likes to control his own 'brand image' but he's losing his grip. Very few are listening to his TBE sales pitch anymore.

If he wants to be the master narrator in his own story then he needs this fight, because right now, he's the man that wouldn't fight his number one challenger.

That's fast becoming the only legacy that people will allow.

Hatton, once again, sees it right. Both guys should man up and make it happen. Blaming only the other side in this is plain foolish.

Seriously cant taje anyone seriously who says it is only Mannys fault this fight is not happening. or vice versa.

Ricky wasnt near lb4lb and the A side in America when he challengd Pac but oh boy was he difficult to sign. Pac wiyh floyd would have said yes to that type of deal already. So the situation is quite incomparable to the megalomaniac demands of Floyd.
