  • Comments Thread For: Arum Discusses The Future, Options For Tim Bradley

Former two-division world champion Timothy Bradley (31-1, 12KOs) makes his return to the ring on Saturday night at the Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas against Argentine, Diego Chaves (23-2, 19KOs) as the headliner on HBO. Earlier in the year, 'Desert Storm' was defeated in his rematch with Manny Pacquiao. For Bradley, this is an opportunity to get back to his winning ways before embarking on a big 2015.

If the cold war is really over, why not put Bradley in a position to clean out the welterweight division. There are some very good fights in that weight class for him. You have Thurman, Maidana, Khan, Guerrero, Alexander, Porter, Brook, and guys like Danny Garcia, and Adrien Broner who will probably move up to 147. If Bradley could get those fights and actually win, he would definitely be a hall of famer and considered one of the best welterweights ever. Some of those fights would be classic. I think Crawford will one day move up to 147 as well. Can you imagine Bradley vs Crawford??? Golden Boy and Top Rank are both in a position to make this a very exciting era for the 140 and 147lb era. To me, Bradley fighting guys like Rios and Alvarado is a waste of time. They are not on the same level. And, I hope he changes his mind about going up to 154. He's too short for that weight. I truly like Bradley and I hope his management and Arum make the right decisions for him. He's not quite on the level with Pacquiao and Mayweather, but he is an A level fighter and a hell of a champion.

        IQ pig over here.

Names a bunch of haymon fighters and says "but the coldwar is over between top rank and golden boy" lol.

        You seem pretty lost tbh.

This is exactly why Bradley went to Top Rank.

So he could fight ESPN club fighters like Provodnikov, Chaves, Bum Bum Rios and Alvardo.

Then occasionally cash-in with a big fight.

Are you talking about Haymon or Top Rank?

Bradley against the Khan, Porter, Thurman or Brook would be great. No more Bradley Marquez please.

Rios and Alvarado should just quit boxing or move down a weight class. They will not be in any radar in the welterweight division.
