Promoter Frank Warren is ready to place EBU/British/Commonwealth middleweight champion Billy Joe Saunders (21-0, 11KOs) in a world title fight. Saunders impressed this past Saturday night in London, by winning a twelve round decision over previously undefeated Chris Eubank Jr. The fight was a WBO middleweight title eliminator.

The WBO title is vacant. Andy Lee and Matt Korobov will battle for the title on December 13th at the Cosmopolitan Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.

Hopefully Korobov shuts down both of these guys and becomes a worthy opponent for Golovkin.

Lee is alright and Saunders is just meh, neither of them are going that far.

I know Warren & company will rooting for Andy, but Korobov should take that by stoppage and as long as there's no injury he'll be in the UK in Feb to knock BJS's head off. Still have the impression we'll end up with Golovkin-Hopkins for May, so Korobov will have time to get in another fight after Saunders, making him Golovkin's biggest MW opponent to date.


They should have Selby-Gradovich on the same card.

Feb seems like a really quick turnaround.... I don't see it happening that soon.
Also if they try to enforce a mando, he has more than enough time to make the fight.

I think if they do discuss a fight, it wouldn't even be until that time frame
