Even former four division world champion Juan Manuel Marquez is fed up with the talking. Like everyone else he wants Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Manny Pacquiao to happen next.

Mayweather dominated Marquez over twelve rounds in 2009. Marquez had three close and controversial contests with Pacquiao, before blasting out the Filipino star in the sixth round of their fourth meeting in 2012.

Marquez is tired of hearing the fighters debate over the terms, including the money. He wants to see them get in the ring to prove which of them is better.

What those who favor Mayweather fail to realize is that all the close rounds will go to Manny. Pacquiao is the only other fighter with enough star power to rival Mayweather. And since it will be a good guy/bad guy fight Manny will be awarded the rounds that could go either way.

That's debatable. Shelf life on both guys is about the same. There's not much money to be made going forward off either fighter. The cash out is expired. This might have held true five years ago.

this. I've been saying in other forums that if maidana had pacquiao's celebrity that the decision could've gone in maidana's favor. I think floyd knows this, thus the hesitation to make serious negotiations for the fight. and no... offering $40 mil flat with out any upside wasn't a serious offer at that particular time.

I honestly wouldn't be shocked who Floyd and Manny fight next. Both promotional companies are desperately seeking anyone they can pass the torch to at this point. This pretty much reduces PPV to nothing when Floyd and PAC retire. **** they were so desperate they gave Algieri a shot. And Arum tried to hand the reigns to Bradley and that failed. Had to go back to his cash cow Pac.

Everyone is fair game right now for both fighters.

I didn't think the first fight was THAT close. I believe I had it 8 rounds to 4 for Mayweather. There's absolutely no way Maidana won 7 rounds in that fight. He put up a good performance, but it still wasn't good enough for a win. It was just a bad Mayweather performance, but even on his worst day Maidana still couldn't beat him.
