Comments Thread For: Knocking Out Vera Restored Rosado's Confidence

Gabe Rosado’s knockout of Bryan Vera didn’t count on Rosado’s record and wasn’t watched live by nearly as many boxing fans as it would’ve been had HBO or Showtime televised it.

Rosado is still very thankful for his victory over Vera in a Big Knockout Boxing (BKB) main event Aug. 16 in Las Vegas. Without it, Rosado realizes he wouldn’t have landed a chance to resurrect his official boxing career against Montreal’s David Lemieux (32-2, 30 KOs) in an HBO main event Dec. 6 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

Rosado - Mario Lemieux is actually good scap in my opinion. Both guys are good for the sport. 66 is great talent, no doubt, but he has few vulnerabilites which makes him very exciting. And he can seriously punch. And looks good, no ****.

Rosado is kind of a old school fighter. Fights eveybody and pretty often. Grinds a way with his craft like there is no tomorrow, and i believe fans like that about him.

This fight though.. The longer it lasts, the better the chances for Rosado. Lemieux is goingto bomb away from the second the ref says "go beat the **** out of each other", and might gas out before the fourth round. I dont care what he says about "fighting smart and pacing myself correctly this time out". The dude is on a mission to hurt you from the outset, and that might be his demise.

My prediction is as follows: Lemieux starts fast, and puts rosado on his back two or three times in the opening three rounds. Rosado gets back up every time, and starts landing in round four. He starts wearing Lemieux down, until gets caught with a HUGE left in round eight from dead tired Lemieux, and goes down for good.

      Lemieux, KO 8
