joshua is a good solid boxer but his lack of power will cost him against good opponents. guys like wilder ktfo their opponents with 1 punch while the refs are costing joshua a lot of good learning experience with their calzaghe stoppages to market him as a monster. just like they stole the gold medal for him in the olympics.Last edited by daggum; 11-24-2014, 02:42 AM.Comment

Just because you don't have crazy one punch power doesn't mean you aren't powerful.joshua is a good solid boxer but his lack of power will cost him against good opponents. guys like wilder ktfo of their opponents with 1 punch while the refs are costing joshua a lot of good learning experience with their calzaghe stoppages to market him as a monster. just like they stole the gold medal for him in the olympics.
Joshua's hurting the fighters he's facing at the moment. They look physically shaken up by his punches and don't seem too keen to take any more.
As his boxing gets better his power will get even better imo.Comment

he has enough power to shake them up but these are essentially tomato cans lets he honest. it would be good to develop more rather then just stopping the fight when a guys slightly shaky. in high level fights thats not going to happen and finishing opponents is not really something you can develop in sparring unless you are fighting at the mayweather gym.Just because you don't have crazy one punch power doesn't mean you aren't powerful.

I'd say Joshua by UD. Parker only beats Joshua is if he lures him into a face first brawl. Parker's got serious power but needs his opponents on the ropes so he can plant his feet. I think Anthony's defense and lateral movement would save him. Parker also doesn't back off and give himself space to work the angles. He wastes punches, just keeps throwing even when his opponents got their guard up.Comment

I see what you mean. Joshua, as yet, hasn't learnt to KO an opponent with a jab/wink, a la Wilder.joshua is a good solid boxer but his lack of power will cost him against good opponents. guys like wilder ktfo their opponents with 1 punch while the refs are costing joshua a lot of good learning experience with their calzaghe stoppages to market him as a monster. just like they stole the gold medal for him in the olympics.Comment

They are definitely comparable. The two biggest talents alongside Hughie Fury, who in my opinion has more natural talent than both of them. Easily.
I would pick Joshua to win over Parker. I think most would. But that's just right now, I definitely think Parker has the tools to reach a very high level. He's got good natural ability. I think Joshua has been in with slightly better opposition so far though.
I'm edging towards Joshua, but Parker is definitely not far behind.Comment

I'm sorry but this is completely ridiculous.he has enough power to shake them up but these are essentially tomato cans lets he honest. it would be good to develop more rather then just stopping the fight when a guys slightly shaky. in high level fights thats not going to happen and finishing opponents is not really something you can develop in sparring unless you are fighting at the mayweather gym.
How can you call Joshua's opposition tomato cans when his 9th win is better than 97% of Wilder's entire résumé.Comment
