Comments Thread For: Sergey Kovalev to Return in March, Other Details TBD

Sergey Kovalev went without seeing his newborn baby while in the final preparation for his November fight with Bernard Hopkins. But even though he’s now spending time with little Alexander, Kovalev won’t be out of training for too long.

That’s because his first bout of 2015 is already being eyed.

Staying relevant. Thats a good look. GGG AND KRUSHER fight minimum 3 times a year. Look at adonis stevenson signs with haymon now he has become irrelevant. Before he was on everyone's lips. Haymon fighters fight max twice a year thats what happens when u have to many fighters and not enough dates.

With recent Ward trends, the closest he'll get is commentating his fight

Andre Ward is clearly ducking the fight... a guy who beat everyone that matters at 168.. won't move up to fight the only guy who matters at 175 and uses the lame excuse of "If I beat him, what else is there?..."

Obviously going back down to 168 is next... and doing the same thing you're doing now...

Well that's what happens when your "adviser" gets blackballed from the biggest network for boxing...

Not to mention, those two fights a year are usually on "stacked cards" where it's like a triple-header featuring all "stay busy" fights... (see Garcia v. Salsa)
