Looking at the punch stats I somehow think Kovalev landed more than that and the referee at the end of that 12th round should be ashamed of himself.
Bhop was taking an absolute beating that should have been a stoppage god forbid if anything bad happened from it but that is beside the point the referees job is to protect the fighter not be a fan.

Man, some boxers have to develop great defense to protect brittle chins. But BH defense is way beyond what it needs to be considering how tough his chin is.

I wonder if BH feels he was on the verge of being stopped, sticking his tongue out, he seemed like he was fresh as a daisy.

I don't think he landed as many as Calzaghe.

And they obviously weren't as hurtful since Sir Joseph actually stopped Hopkins and Kovalev failed to do so.

Calzaghe really landed a lot less than the compubox stated....that fight was embarrassing for both fighters IMO.

Kovalev put on a dominant performance. He dominated BHop like young roy did. this wasn't a taylor or Calzaghe type fight where the decision was widely criticized.

                  Nothing but credit for Kovalev.

Comapring Calzaghe "punches" to Kovalev punches is a great example of why Compubox doesn't always tell the whole story.
