  • Comments Thread For: Kovalev Says He Hurt Both Hands On Hopkins’ Hard Head

Sergey Kovalev had never gone 12 rounds — heck, he’d only gone eight rounds once before — before this past Saturday’s decision win over Bernard Hopkins.

Kovalev said he couldn’t get the knockout against Hopkins, though he tried to finish him.

“I can’t because he has very, very, very hard head,” Kovalev said at the post-fight press conference. “I hurt my hands. He got a lot of hard punch from me but he stay on his legs, like unbelievable.”

He kept bouncing punches off the top of that hard ass head, which I'm sure didn't help.

Yeah but Kovalev could have just ko'd him at any point according to a lot of idiots on here. B-hop is old but he still has a chin and it's still very hard to catch him clean on the chin especially when he's on the defensive for almost the whole fight.
