In the negotiations, Who is the "A side"? Carl Froch or Chavez Jr?

This is an interesting question. Both guys want to fight each other and they bring huge fan bases along with them. Guys like GGG and Andre Ward want Chavez Jr. because he brings the money. Carl Froch brings incentives as well and he did big numbers at Wembley. Anyway, in your opinion. Who is the A side, Froch or Chavez Jr.?

It depends, if the fight is in the UK, Froch is the A side. If its in Vegas, Chavez will be. Froch is not well known in the US whereas Chavez is a Household name

Froch is literally the A side against ANYONE in the division - he's the cash cow at 168, just like Mayweather, Pacquiao and Khan are cash cows at 147, Froch is the man at 168. Chavez Jr is basically only known because of his famous father, he a decent fighter and has potential but no where near Froch's status and probably will never be while Froch remains active within the sport.

I would think Froch would be the A side. He is the champion and has a better record than Chavez. Chavez took a real beating from Martinez and later Cotto smashes Martinez. At this time Froch looks like the better fighter and the A side in the negotiations but not by all that much because Chavez is extremely popular.
