Francisco Rodriguez Jr. (16-2, 11KOs), and his promoter Zanfer Promotions, have denied reports that he plans to vacate the WBO 105-pound title to move up in weight. Rodriguez unified the WBO/IBF titles in his last fight with a twelve round unanimous decision over Katsunari Takayama at Arena Monterrey on August 9th.



Rodriguez will return to action on November 15th in a non-title ten round fight at the Cebu City Waterfront Hotel & Casino in Barangay Lahug, Cebu City, Cebu, Philippines. He will face local fighter Vergilio Silvano (19-4-1, 11KOs).
