Comments Thread For: Alexander Focused on Khan, Not Thinking of Mayweather

Last week a story ran on BoxingScene.com that had excerpts of Devon Alexander's recent interview with 78SportsTV. In the interview Alexander was asked about Floyd Mayweather and he said that Mayweather prefers to face slow footed fighters and that fighters with speed such as Zab Judah and Demarcus Corley gave him some trouble.

Alexander spoke to BoxingScene shortly after the story ran to clarify his comments. He wants to make it clear that he merely was answering the question that he was asked and that all of his focus is on his December 13th showdown against Amir Khan (29-3, 19KOs).

KOing Khan is not a sure shot for Floyd. Khan is inconsistent and is unable to keep a decent winning streak

we should read the same title but from khan's side. the reason he keeps screwing it up is because he is always focus on floyd and not his next opponent

Khan - alexander fight looks good on paper but the fight itself will be disappointing. Their styles clash and they will hug constantly. Even with a win, neither guy will impress

This fight doesn't do anything for them as far as a Mayweather fight is concerned.

It's not a talent audition. Mayweather has to fight somebody and he's only interested in what sells, because that equals money. If this fight pulls a crowd he'll be interested. If not, not.

Pacman sells more than anyone but he doesn't want to know!
