According to Hall of Fame trainer Freddie Roach, Manny Pacquiao's upcoming defense of the WBO welterweight title will determine if the boxer is going to remain at 147-pounds of drop down to the junior welterweight limit of 140-pounds.

Pacquiao will face undefeated WBO junior welterweight champion Chris Algieri at a catch-weight of 144-pounds on November 22nd in Macau, China.

First it was the fear of needles, now let's duck up under the welterweights out there. Too much hot competition, and don't have to fight Floyd unless we drain him to junior-welter. Smart move roach but the raid is inevitable. Bob should have came up with that one. Let's go after lil Floyd 'Boner'

I don't mind this, so long as he takes on strong competition like Danny Garcia or even Matthysse.

if this random change of heart is true, then why not just fight at 140?
