Comments Thread For: Tim Bradley Open To Moving Up For Canelo, Cotto

Size won't matter, says former two-division world champion Timothy Bradley (31-1, 12KOs), who on December 13th returns to action against Diego Chaves (23-2, 19KOs) at the Cosmopolitan Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.

Two of the biggest fights within Bradley's reach are in the higher weight divisions against superstars Saul "Canelo" Alvarez and Miguel Cotto.

Bradley has no issue with facing either boxer at 154-pounds or even 160-pounds. Canelo fought his last two bouts at 155-pounds and Cotto is the WBC's middleweight champion.

Why? 140 is a better division right now anyway.

Still one of the most underrated boxers today. And I'm probably still one his few fans. This man will beat most welterweights. Andre Ward once said he was one of the toughest fights he ever faced in amateur boxing. People overlooking this dude.

I actually like his chances against both if I'm being honest.

Agreed. It's all because of Pacquiao, and the split fanatics. The fans who hate him because of the robbery, then the Floyd fans who act like he sucks since Pacquiao beat him.

Bradley is a good dude but that doesn't sound like a wise career move, at least not from a physical standpoint. Bradley barely has enough punching power to keep most WW honest, how's he going to keep the bigger guys off him?

at least he is willing to move up, but i think he will be tremendously under sized against fighters like canelo

Desperate move by Tim. If only he weren't sold a bill of goods by Arum he wouldn't be so desperat.

Tim has had himself a pretty decent carreer so far. I personally believe his best work is at 140 when he beat guys like Lamont and Devon. His 147 resume/work is average at best and i see Bradley as a B level fighter nowadays. I know Canelo and Cotto bring in the fat paychecks but Bradley should stay away from 154 if he is not trying to add more losses to his resume. Dude is decent but he doesn't bring much to the table against anyone, he is not a puncher and he is not exactly the slickest boxer out there either.
