WBO European heavyweight champion Francesco Pianeta (30-1-1) will defend the title on November 8 in Stuttgart as part of the undercard to the super middleweight battl between Robert Stieglietz and Felix Sturm. Pianeta will go up against an opponent to be announced. Pianeta has also extended his promotional contract with SES for another two years. Pianeta has won two in a row since suffering a sixth round TKO defeat to heavyweight king Wladimir Klitschko last May.
