Comments Thread For: Hearn Eyes Haye-Joshua Stadium Blockbuster Fight

Promoter Eddie Hearn is confident that Anthony Joshua will be ready for a British battle with David Haye by next year.

The 24-year-old heavyweight has made impressive progress since making his professional debut just over a year ago, racking up eight straight stoppage wins.

He continues his busy schedule with a clash against experienced Russian Denis Bakhtov at London’s 02 Arena this Saturday, live on Sky Sports.

A future fight against Reading’s Michael Sprott has already been pencilled in for the undercard of Nathan Cleverly’s November rematch with Tony Bellew, and Hearn has ambitious plans for Joshua in 2015.

how many times has he been knocked out 15/ 20 times ?

he talks like he is permanently drunk as fuark.

Anyway haye v joshua would be decent as long as it lasts ( cant see hayes chin holding up too well )

He'd be better off going for a fight with Chisora or fury. haye is a step too far too soon.

There's 2 things Joshua need to do in the next 6 months to progress! 1 is to win the English title, the other is to start fighting abroad!!.

Why does Eddie Hearn need to say this? It's obvious if Joshua keeps winning his career would lead to Haye, Chisora or Fury.

Can't really see Haye taking this fight at all. Doesn't make sense for him.

I could see AJ fighting Tyson Fury at some stage - but get this guy some internationally ranked fighters. You want him to become a cross over star, it's done by beating American heavies. Arreola, Thompson, Solis, Wilder, Jennings etc. guys that are fighting regularly in the us or are from there.

I think AJ beats Jennings for example. Would put him right in the mix.

Even though Haye is a bit of a clown, he has dynamite in his gloves and very quick hands. AJ is too stiff and upright, he would get KO'd.

I think joshua has pretty much hit his peak opponent level now and will plateau, I cant see him realy beating anyone in the top 15/20 unless theyre punch resistance has gone (chisora) hearn should put him against fury and then hope to sign fury when he beats joshua to cut his losses or haye even.

I understand what you're saying but he needs to be built up gradually.

Many people thought David Price was going to be the next heavyweight star but because he was mis managed and pushed too early for Tony Thompson he wasn't ready!

also he is only 24, he's got at least another 15 years as a heavyweight
