you are all kinds of wrong! Minority ethnic groups do run boxing viewership. Any event or even watching fights abroad in clubs and sports bar. They are packed with **********, black and latin. They love boxing period. You can count ie white on one hand. There is a good white fan base i'm not saying that. But they are not the bulk of ppv buyers. Ie white middle class america drives the nfl not boxing. That's why cotto/alvarez will do the better numbers. Floyd is being put on notice by dela hoya that his run is over. He has used that mexican fan base to get rich and they are taking it back. Mexicans paid to see him lose not to see him fight. They will pay to see canelo fight. Win or lose. That mayweather is a proven ticket seller notion is what they are about to expose. And mayweather knows it. Showtime does too. They are gonna force him to or at least try to force him to fight pac because they have the most money to lose in going head to head. Not hbo. This is about ego. Floyd and de la hoyas, he couldn't beat floyd in the ring so he's gonna beat him with numbers and expose the fact that he's not a ppv king just a good business that built his image on the backs of die hard fight fans that are tired of his exhibitions against over matched opponents. And that image is what they are setting out to destroy. This is to embarrass floyd as much as it is to put canelo in position to be the next ppv king. It's a win for boxing fans. It forces the networks to put on the best fights or suffer the financial consequences

I'll say it again, Canelo is not fighting on ppv in May he will fight Cotto in June and take a tune up on HBO not ppv in May, all this talk about going head to head with Floyd is just a gimmick to get Canelo some exposure, They will not go head to head with Floyd on ppv, bars and theaters won't buy the license of the Canelo fight. Everybody gotta remember this is Floyds 2nd to last fight he won't be around to be watch anymore while Canelo will be for awhile so either you see an all time great while you can live or a kid trying to make a name for himself? The celebrities will be wTching Floyd, not Canelo

WRONG Canelo will not fight in June in NY, there is no Mexican fan base there,just like Cotto will not fight in California. The neutral sight will be Vegas,both fan bases will represent,and i believe it will be in May, HBO not worried about doin less, ther objective is to hurt Floyd and Showtime.

Hispanic fans ie Mexicans/Puerto Ricans will watch Canelo/Cotto not Floyd on our Holiday. We have had no other option in the past since Oscar left. They used to be his dates. If Canelo/Cotto fight there not picking Floyd over the 2 of them.
