  • Comments Thread For: Odlanier Solis Hurts Ankle, Withdraws From Thompson II

The rematch between Odlanier Solis and Tony Thompson originally planned to take place on October 18th at CASTELLO in Dusseldorf (Germany) has to be postponed after "La Sombra" Solis suffered a sprained ankle in training in Miami.

"I flew straight to Miami when I heard of the injury to see how bad it is", says promoter Ahmet Oner. "Fortunately, the doctor says that no ligaments have been torn and nothing is broken. Solis has to take a break in training for ten days but can go right back to work after that. So we will definitely do the fight before the end of the year.

i ythink he blew his knee out against vitali, bro. one of the cruiciate ligaments. ACL, MCL, etc.

the only article i found in my limited search just said "cruciate ligament."

good old boxing reporting. "ahh, "CL" is just fine. who needs to really know what ligament it was?"

Has this fat greedy bastard lost any weight, that is all I want to know, not who he is fighting or how his ankle is.when he has or if he does I take that as a sign he is taking his career seriously, until or if ever then I won't take him seriously.
