Comments Thread For: Takayama-Argumedo Ordered For Vacant IBF Title

The International Boxing Federation has ordered Katsunari Takayama (27-7, 10KOs), ranked at number 3, number 4 ranked Jose Argumedo (13-3-1, 7KOs), to fight each other for the IBF mini-flyweight championship. Negotiations should start immediately and be completed by October 31, or a purse bid will be ordered. Ryohei Maio represents Takayama and Zanfer Promotions represents Argumendo. Both boxers are coming off defeats but happen to be the highest ranked, available contenders who are able to fight for the belt.

So, two guys who lost their last fight are ordered to fight for the vacant title? Nice. Exhibit A for why alphabet organizations suck dvck and anyone who calls every fighter with an alphabet belt a "World champion" is a dolt

Haha! Makes sense. Can't be having Mexican fighters holding 3 of the 4 available belts. Oops make that two. WBC making sure Novoa gets robbed by fighting in Thailand. If everything goes according to plan, Rodriguez will be back to the one belt he had from the beginning. Makes sense. Too many other "interested parties" throwing giant stacks around for Rodriguez and Novoa to keep their belts. What's sad is that they would've had all 4 if Budler wasn't a bona fide chicken and fought Silvestre after getting robbed for the WBA belt.
