Comments Thread For: Chavez vs. Alvarez Early Results: Nieblas Wins

The televised opener spotlighted a debutante in the Welterweight division. It was no debutante ball.

Jonathan Nieblas (3-1, 3 KO) of Los Mochis, Sinaloa, Mexico, scored a stoppage of Hector Ruiz (0-1) of Chiapas, Mexico, in the final round of their scheduled six-round affair. Ruiz’s corner threw in the towel as their man took a beating. The time of the stoppage was 2:01 of the sixth. The referee was Arturo Cruz Ingles.

Nope. That is circling your oponent, dumbo. Running on purpose, and, worse, hugging like a coward is what floyd does. Gate keepers? They have more action than the real gate keeper and boring coward, floyd mayweather. Less than 50% kos hahaha. Ducking everyone hahahaha. Beaten like a rag doll by Maidana hahaha with all the advantages in the world. Couldnt KO let alone hurt a weight drained canelo hahahaha and a small, blown Marquez hahaha. Crapped his pants when Margarito confroned him and cried when Martinez challenged him. Paquiao is his nightmare hahahahaha.

How is this shocking? Both of them are terrible fighters. The only reason one of them got a win is because they were fighting each other. Somebody sorry had to win.

How is it a shock???? Omar Chavez has no natural fighting ability or instincts. At least Alvarez knew how to use movement and had some flow to his punches.

Alvarez is a decent fighter. Nothing special but he's decent and has an entertaining style.

Omar is just an embarrassment to the Chavez name. Imagine Chavez Jr. being a better example of how to follow in your legendary fathers footsteps
