In a fight hastened by a cut in the second round, undefeated 30-year old Juan Carlos Payano (16-0, 9 KO) of Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic, scored a unanimous technical to capture the WBA “Super” Bantamweight title from 29-year old Anselmo Moreno (35-3-1, 12 KO) of San Miguelito, Panama, on Friday night at the Mesquite Arena in Mesquite, Texas. How was this not a no contest in rd2??

When a cut is that bad and caused by a butt so early just end the damn thing so you don't have to declare a bogus "decision winner" after 5 rds. It's not fair to either fighter. Sport sucks.

Couldn't find any sites streaming this one, going to the cards after a bad cut is sometimes like a box of old chocolates. . I did manage to find a Panamanian site that reviewed the fight as Payano being the more hungrier fighter and Moreno just not doing enough..
