  • Comments Thread For: Carl Froch wins fourth BBBoC boxer of year award

Nottingham's Carl Froch, 33-2 (24), netted a remarkable quadrilogy tonight after being named the BBBoC's Boxer of The Year for a fourth time. Froch, 37, earned the award for repealing the challenge of London's George "The Saint Groves" twice during the past British boxing season.

Froch stopped Groves in nine rounds in Manchester in November—referee Howard Foster was deemed the villain that night due to accusations of an early stoppage—then repeated the trick, cleanly this time, before a huge crowd at London's Wembley Stadium (W KO 8) in May to cement his dominance over his younger rival.

Props to Froch he is legitimate the uk no1 right now,Frampton and Brook's time will come soon enough, until that time Froch will continue to keep the throne warm, though his time may be drawing to a close in the next 9-18 months he is in no significant immediate danger of being unseated.
