  • Comments Thread For: Quigg: McGuigan's Ego is Preventing Frampton Clash

WBA 'regular' super bantamweight champion Scott Quigg (29-0-2, 22KOs) is blaming Barry McGuigan for the issues in making a highly anticipated unification with IBF champion Carl Frampton (19-0, 13KOs). Now that both boxers have world titles in the same weight division, the steam has erupted as fans are demanding the two of them face each other in a unification.

Frampton was at one time promoted by Eddie Hearn of Matchroom, who handles Quigg. Frampton's career is now being handled by McGuigan and Frank Warren.

And what is preventing you to fight Rigondeaux?

Why would Quigg fight Rigo? What does Rigo bring to the table?

I feel sorry for Rigondeaux, fighters nowadays can afford to sidestep the main man as there are plenty more world titles available in a division. I think Frampton-Quigg will happen next summer, I can't see McGuigan being worried of Quigg.

Why do people keep asking this dumb question when it's been addressed repeatedly?

If Rigo fought who everyone wanted him too then he'd have to fight on a daily basis. ***ing tedious, every thread.

A pxp status, ring magazine along with a couple albhabet soup belts, two Olympic Gold medals and the prestige to fight the best 122 pounder of the World, do you think is enough? It is a shame that there are no more Zarates, Gomez, Pintor, Cruz and Zamoras...

They enjoy seeing you trying to be an accountant and a businessman instead of a boxing fan.
