James De La Rosa (23-2, 13KOs) is heading back to the junior middleweight limit of 154-pounds. Last Saturday night, De La Rosa moved up to a catch-weight of 162-pounds and won an upset ten round unanimous decision over big favorite Alfredo Angulo at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. The fight was part of the Mayweather-Maidana 2 Pay-Per-View.

If he really wants Canelo he should aim for somebody like K9, Ishe Smith or even Andrade for that December card. Then try to get the winner of Kirkland - Rosado early next year then he might actually have a fighting chance of luring Canelo in.

But really the only way to get Canelo is either be a draw or get there the old fashion way.
