LAS VEGAS - Floyd Mayweather worked far too hard against Marcos Maidana their last time out to have to do it again in the rematch Saturday night. Mayweather dominated Maidana from the opening bell, using his boxing skills to keep the Argentine off balance and pile up points on his way to a unanimous 12-round decision to retain his welterweight and super welterweight titles before a crowd at the MGM Grand that sometimes booed the lack of action.

After the fight, Mayweather addressed the issue of fighting Manny Pacquiao at the post-fight press conference.

Ok. I don't even understand what that response means. Did Floyd say anywhere in that statement that he wants to fight Manny?

No.. In fact he pretty much publically admitted for the nth time that he's a duckin

The whole Mayweather family must be way below the average intelligence level to expect this stuff to wash.

And Ellerbe has obviously made a calculated business decision to rely on the gullibility of the average boxing fan.

But I thought Pacquaio had to sign to Mayweather promotions and have Floyd as his boss before the fight could be made?

MAyweather sounds like a broken, whiny arse record. We get it Floyd, you dont want to fight him.

Actually, I think that, It hurts boxing if all the big names leave their promoters, after they reached the superstar status. Less money goes back to the foundations of the sport. It costs a lot to build up young fighters. Just check the collapse of german boxing after the Klitschkos started to make their own events. It isn't bad for the sport if Manny leaves lots of money at Top Rank. They will invest it into other fighters.

I swear that outside the ring he is as dumb as a bag of hammers. He's just this little pull-string action figure that says what his team tells him to say.

If you are your own boss, why couldn't you answer the question then and there? Why do you need to scuttle back to Al Haymon and your father to ask who you'll fight next? You ALREADY know what they are going to say... HELL NO you aren't going to fight Pacquiao this close to retirement.

Either you are your own boss... or you aren't.
