You can watch their fight on you tube. It was Spada who was doing most of the clinching, what a douche. -
I'd say Las Vegas is the most corrupt place to hold fights specialy when Mayweather or Al Hayman are involvedHahaha, bitter as f**k,
.
People always try to act like Mexico is just as crooked as Puerto Rico or the U.K., but it's not.
An example is Jorge Paez Jr. vs. Vivian Harris earlier this year in Mexico. Paez Jr. was climbing the ladder in the rankings, and Harris was a late replacement for the fight, but they gave the win to the right man in Harris. That would never happen in the U.K. or Puerto Rico.
Mexico is usually pretty fair.Leave a comment:

I would agree with the statement that open scoring might have led him to go out guns blazing, but even without open scoring they HAD to have known he needed a knockout. The fight wasn't even remotely close and what he had been doing up to that point was completely and utterly ineffective. Spirited, yes, but not effective.
As for this rabbit stuff, sometimes the rabbit outsmarts the fox and that's exactly what happened. You can't get mad because the guy isn't standing in front of you fighting the fight YOU want them to fight. Here's a simple and for the most part foolproof logic about winning rounds, keep your opponent from fighting the fight he wants to fight. This "rabbit" style or whatever you want to call it is going to Rubio's only chance to win rounds against GGG. He stands and ****s, good chance he gets sparked and fast.Leave a comment:

SPADA fought as the aggressor all night and RUBIO ran and hold a little bit indeed, anyway RUBIO caught him and put him to sleep so the victory was legit like the fact SPADA fought bravely in MEXICO! The kilos robbed on the scale are a dirty move that happen in boxing, that means RUBIO was overweight and the title was not at stake for him and more money for SPADA but we'll never know it. Good luck for MURRAY that he is not a joke at all, much better than RUBIO IMO!Leave a comment:

He did lose decisively ... the guy was kinda losing every round though not without a spirited effort. I think part of his saltiness is to do with the open scoring which forced him to fight increasingly recklessly - leading ultimately to the KO.
I've just rewatched it, and there's little argument for Spada to take more than 1 or 2 rounds at best, in spite of his attempted aggression, but the Kid is game at least.
TBH Murray needs to flatten Spada to prove his own relevance at world level - I suspect he's being lined up to fight Golovkin in Monacco in 2015 (his current promoter is South African based Golden Gloves who have promoted all of GGGs Monte Carlo fights) almost whatever happens, but a weak performance against Spada will hardly help build a Golovkin fight.Last edited by Citizen Koba; 09-08-2014, 12:33 PM.Leave a comment:

Yes. Murray really won the fight against Sergio who kept the belt with a home decision; however, in the last 3 fights Murray looked ordinary. Regarding the topic, it is clear that GGG is the great favorite and people are only hoping that Rubio can make it interesting by lasting longer and/or making GGG work harder than previous fights.Leave a comment:

Murray has looked far from magnificent recently - makes one wonder just how shot Maravilla was when Martin fought him.
Still, I think he beats Spada who really isn't very good.
Spada is right about Rubio though. I think there's few who give Rubio much of a chance despite being a tough, wily and hard hitting veteran.
The interest in the fight is more to see the manner in which Golovkin wins I think very few anticipate a different outcome.Last edited by Citizen Koba; 09-08-2014, 11:28 AM.Leave a comment:
