Comments Thread For: Berto Wants Revenge on Guerrero, Ortiz, Soto Karass

The past three years have been a frustrating stretch for Andre Berto, who enjoyed a long awaited return to the win column Saturday evening with a 10-round decision over Steve Upsher-Chambers. The win came at the U.S. Bank Arena in Cincinnati, barely a couple of hours before Berto’s 31st birthday as he was able to celebrate in style.

A former welterweight titlist, Berto had lost three of his last four bouts dating back to his April ’11 war with Victor Ortiz. The two were supposed to collide one year later, only for Berto to test positive for a banned substance during random drug testing conducted by the Voluntary Anti-Doping Agency (VADA). The test resulted in the fight being canceled, and never truly revisited. [Click Here To Read More]

It's not a long list, but it's a long shot to beat them. Ortiz maybe.

I wouldn't be against a berto - ortiz rematch, seeing as I was excited for the rematch that was set a couple of years ago, and the original was pretty exciting in the beginning and middle rounds before ortiz took over, I say make it happen

all three of those rematches would be good fights. berto has a fan friendly style, even if it's not all that pleasing on the eyes in terms of aesthetic boxing.

Berto is close to being irrelevant IMO. I didn't care to watch his fight last night. Just did because I ha nothing else better to do. Really was just focused on watching Lucas and Broner.

              No interest in seeing Ortiz.

Most likely a Josesito lopez or someone like that.

Actually a Porter fight wouldn't be bad.

They need to go ahead and make the Ortiz/Berto rematch so those two can make a nice payday and one of them can go away.

Berto would probably make Ortiz quit with a jab.

I think Guerrero knocks Berto out, he might beat Soto Karass though. That's. 50/50 IMO.

Berto can beat anyone if he's in the right frame of mind.
