  • Comments Thread For: Tickets Selling Fast For Golovkin-Rubio Showdown

Ticket sales are moving at an extraordinary pace during the first week for “MEXICAN STYLE”, the World Middleweight Championship between Boxing’s fastest rising star, WBA/IBO Middleweight Champion, GENNADY “GGG” GOLOVKIN and WBC Interim Middleweight Champion MARCO ANTONIO “El Veneno” RUBIO.

The event will take place on Saturday, October 18th at the StubHub Center in Carson, California and will betelevised Live on HBO World Championship Boxing®.

Presented by K2 Promotions and GGG Promotions in association with Promociones Del Pueblo, advance tickets priced at $210, $105, $53 and $27, plus applicable service charges are available online at AXS.com, by phone at 888-9-AXS-TIX(888-929-7849) and at the StubHub Center Box Office (Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. PT to 6 p.m. PT).

“Since putting tickets on sale last Wednesday during the Los Angeles Press Conference at Olvera Street we’ve seen sales skyrocket, this is the fastest selling boxing event that’s been held at the StubHub Center” said Tom Loeffler of K2 Promotions. “I strongly encourage boxing fans to purchase tickets in advance so they don’t miss out on this great night of boxing.” [Click Here To Read More]

What's the capacity at Stub hub? And this is what happens when you price tickets better

He certainly had trouble selling last time, at Madison Square Garden. The HBO ratings were a disappointment as well.

This time around he is fighting a Mexican in So Cal though so that will help.

Id say better than fighting an Aussie in NYC with tickets priced at 500,300,200 and below

8,000. Not a bad seat in the house. Boxing is held in the tennis stadium.

Tickets are probably far cheaper than at Madison Square Garden.

And he's fighting a the most famous Nintendo character ever.

I remember when they were selling fast for the Geale fight too. I feel like every fight starts off with this "selling fast" article then another one comes out days before giving us the real skinny.
