    The team behind super middleweight king Andre Ward (27-0, 14KOs), manager James Prince and legal adviser Josh Dubin, spoke to BoxingScene.com to respond to some recent statements that were made by Oleg Hermann, the manager of IBO/WBA middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin (30-0, 27KOs).

    Regarding a potential fight between Golovkin and Ward, Hermann says the idea is too risky to pursue - because Ward has ongoing legal issues with his promoter of record, Dan Goossen.

      If Ward and Goossen are still working together, where are all his fights?

      If the situation is working, why isn't Ward fighting?


      The proof of the pudding is in the eating, Ward and Goossen are in the midst of a messy legal situation and they're fighting no one while Ward uses Golovkin to keep his name out there.

              I didn't know james prince was wards manager, I'm surprised he hasn't strong armed goosen to drop wards contract. The goose must have some pull.

                  I don't know why Ward's lawyer is making public statements like this.... can't be good for his lawsuit. You know, the one that's keeping him inactive.

                                  Ward himself said that Goosen is refusing to get him fights as long as he is suing him (big surprise) so I guess Ward's team are blatant flamboyant liars.

                                  Seems like Golovkin is just a random target they chose to keep Ward's name in the news.

                                      You don't play that with high profile businessmen. Goossen would take it to the media and law enforcement would be itching to get at Prince. It's not the hood.

                                      Funnily enough, Ward to get out of his contract with Prince years ago
