Hall of Fame trainer Freddie Roach says he is hoping that Chris Algieri comes to fight, and not to run, when he faces WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao on November 22nd at the Venetian in Macao, China.
Back in June, Algieri (20-0, 8 KOs) won a twelve round split decision over Ruslan Provodnikov at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. Roach, who also trains Provodnikov, felt his fighter did enough to win, because he also felt Algieri was not being effective and running around the ring for most of the rounds. Now with the opportunity to get revenge, Roach doesn't want a fight where Pacquiao (56-5-2, 38 KOs) is chasing after Algieri for twelve rounds.
