London - ADAM ETCHES will get the opportunity to bolster his world ranking and add another title to his collection when he faces Brazil's tough Samir Santos Barbosa at the Ponds Forge Arena in Sheffield on September 20 on the Hennessy Sports promoted event.

The night of championship boxing will be headlined by Kid Galahad, who will be defending his Commonwealth Super Bantamweight title.

Well since this site hasn't bothered posting it "Cotto has been forced to defend his middleweight title versus the winner of Golovkin/Rubio by the WBC". Personally see him vacating and instead fighting Canelo since that's where the big money is and after capturing the belt he got the title he wanted of division breaker. If he's going to vacate in the end he might as well do it now so those guys fight for the belts. I have no problem with Cotto electing to fight Canelo if that's what he ends up doing, as long as he doesn't hold the belts hostage until after the Rubio vs GGG fight. This just threw a huge wrench in Canelo's plans for next may, out of everyone involved I think he's the one who is going to take this the hardest. Not sure he can find a replacement for Cotto next May to compete with a Floyd ppv.
