Comments Thread For: Kell Brook-Shawn Porter: Post Fight Report Card

It looked like a good fight going in.

    It wasn’t much of that.

It looked like it was a 50-50 fight.

It was…for about six rounds. That’s how long it took before Kell Brook, behind a long jab, more accurate punching, and using a wise variety of clinches frustrated and solved the pressure of Shawn Porter. It was a dominant second half.

It was a new titlist at 147 lbs.

Let’s go the report card. [Click Here To Read More]

honestly after re-watching the fight, it was more one sided than i originally thought, always seems to happen when you re-watch fights, but in anyway, Brook basically controlled that fight after round 4, you could easily tell by Porter's body language after the 4th heading into the 5th he was diminished already, he was mentally screwed cuz he understood he couldn't run over this man like he did paulie.......i don't think porter will ever be Elite, and it will be interesting to see how he rebounds mentally instead of physically for his next fight, he lost mad confidence after that L to Kell

It was a very clear win.

One of those that gets clearer every time you watch it. Porter doesn't land a good shot until about round 7, the rest of his work consisted of rabbit punches and taps from the clinch.

Brook landed clean shots all night, controlled the direction of the fight and made Porter look amateurish.

            Similar fight stylistically.

Maidana had a LOT more success though, he still lost but he at least landed some good shots in most rounds. I count about 5 clean punches for Porter...in the entire fight.

read your review of the fight..........curious why you never mentioned the head butting and CONSTANT hitting behind the head by Porter, you and Pat Russell, the REF, must have been getting snacks at the same time...................
