Comments Thread For: Maidana: Maybe I am Dirty, But so is Mayweather!

Former champion Marcos Maidana (35-4, 31KOs) admits that he can be a little rough in the ring.

Floyd Mayweather Jr. (46-0, 26KOs) and members of his team have complained about Maidana's "rough" tactics during their May fight, which Mayweather won with a twelve round majority decision. A rematch is scheduled for September 13th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

If the plan to try to beat Floyd is to fight dirty, what do you expect Floyd to do to counter that?

Man you have got to stop crying so much. Maidana, the subject of the thread, has no reason to complain. Gatti and Mosley are not being discussed.

Floyd is one of the dirtiest fighters in the game, he sucker punches, uses Elbows, hits the kidneys when he clinches up, the forearm and elbow to the throat.

Floyd cries the most thinking people will believe he isn't dirty. At least I can respect someone like B hop who admits to his tactics openly, Floyd needs to stop crying, you fight dirty yourself but get mad when someone else fights dirty back? seriously?

Actually what Maidana is saying is...he's countering floyds dirty elbow tactics with his own. As for Maidana's "rabbit punching" that Floyd is referring to, its actually overhand right hands that he throws. If Floyd doesnt want to be hit in the back of the head then he shouldnt turn his head.

If you don't want to catch an elbow don't clinch.
