Comments Thread For: Bermane Stiverne-Deontay Wilder Purse Bid on 9/12

The World Boxing Council (WBC) has set September 12th in Mexico City as the date and location for the (heavyweight champion) Bermane Stiverne vs. (mandatory challenger) Deontay Wilder purse bid.

Stiverne (24-1-1, 21 KOs) captured the vacant title by stopping Chris Arreola earlier this year. Wilder (32-0, 32 KOs), the mandatory challenger, stayed busy last Saturday night in Carson, when he stopped Jason Gavern in four rounds. He became the mandatory by putting away Malik Scott in the first round of a March eliminator.

Could be, would make the show he's putting on already bigger, and if Quillin/Korobov will be on Nov 8th, it'll most likely be in DC

I suspect Roc Nation Sports will win this bid and possibly the Danny Garcia bid. Have the fights November 8th at the Barclays Center and it would be awesome event, expensive but would put the boxing world on notice.

                    Bermane Stiverne vs. Deontay Wilder
                    Danny Garcia vs. Viktor Postol
                    Peter Quillin vs. Matt Korobov

It would be even better if Roc Nation Sports sold the TV rights to HBO, lol.
