Comments Thread For: Pablo Cesar Cano Faces Lopez, Alvarez vs. Ruiz Set

A doubleheader which is going to have some fireworks, has been set for next Saturday night, August 30th, at the Grand Oasis Resort in Cancun, Mexico. Pepe Gomez of Cancun Boxing and Golden Boy Promotions will promote the event.

A showdown between two legit punchers as Pablo Cesar Cano (27-4-1, 20 KO's) will collide with Juan Pablo "Che Che" Lopez (25-3-0, 21 KO's) in the main event. Cano is trying to bounce back after suffering three defeats in his last four fights. This past March he was upset by Fernando Angulo in nine rounds. Lopez won his last two.

I like Cano as he is a typical entertaining and crowd pleasing Mexcian, but them cuts are ruining his career it's starting to get ****** definitely a weakness has been exposed. Morales made his face look very very bad and won the fight because of the TKO Malignaggi ripped one of his eyebrows off but got robbed in Brooklyn on points and got stopped in the Johan Perez (WTD) and Fernando Angulo (LTKO) fights because of the same problem.

Yeah I agree, Cano is a very entertaining fighter and when I met him he was a standup guy as well. Unfortunately like you said those cuts are not helping him out and it's sad to see such a young guy's career be affected by something like that.

I wish Cano the best and hope all goes well for him.
