  • Comments Thread For: Nowhere to Hyde for the British Cruiserweights

Cruiserweight Sam Hyde is quickly developing into one of the top prospects in British Boxing, despite having only had two professional fights. Hyde won a points decision on his debut in March over Elvis Dube, before announcing himself on the big stage, by flattening Tommy Gifford in just 56 seconds at the Phones 4U Arena, Manchester in April.

However his development has been hindered slightly by a back injury, which has left him out of action for four months, but Manager Kev Kinsella says he is ready to fire on all cylinders again when he returns to the same venue on September 13th on the Scott Quigg-Paulus Ambunda undercard. ugh...I was getting excited. I thought Herbie Hide was returning.

      I love Herbie.

I remember reading an article when Frank/Kellie Maloney was bigging up Scott Belshaw who with all due respect was just terrible. He ended up getting flattened by anyone and everyone. Tyson Fury decimated him.

If this lad's so promising then his management need to have him fight at least 8-9 times a year & not only in the UK!
