Not that I think Stiverne is good either, just his last two fights are better quality then Wilders entire fight history.

    We shall see I suppose..
Ideally a bridge to the Stiverne fight would be someone like Dominick Guinn or Tony Thompson. They are past being dangerous but could give Wilder some much needed rounds and a step up in class.

I honestly think Wilder is far too raw for a title shot,he's doing all the right things bombing opponents out, talking himself up but he is in no way prepared for Stiverne.

Just watched the fight - Wilder looked kind of flat in his performance as Gavern seemed to elude a lot of Deontay's punches. Gavern was able to connect with some good shots of his own throughout the 4 rounds before retiring on his stool.

Some things I noticed about Wilder:

He keeps his hands extraordinarily high and has a habit of backing up directly instead of on an angle.

Wilder also looked like **** on the inside when Gavern was in close. He doesn't seem to have much of a 'inside fight game.'

If I was Stiverne watching this fight, I would be very comforted because Wilder looked very one dimensional and he lacks the inside game that Stiverne is very good at
