WBO junior welterweight champion Chris Algieri (20-0, 8KOs) understands that he wasn't the most popular selection for Manny Pacquiao's next fight. Algieri, fresh from his upset decision over Ruslan Provodnikov, will move up in weight on November 22nd to challenge Pacquiao (56-5-2, 38KOs) for the WBO's welterweight title in Macau, China.

Yeah well we will see about that...there's a reason this fight is being staged in Asia and not in the states. They got their money guaranteed from the casino's otherwise this fight wouldn't be taking place. If he uses his movement and jab intelligently he can make it interesting if he doesn't it'll be back to being a nutritionist full time for you.

Chris has got this fight in the bag IMO. Manny is shot. No disrespect to Manny.

Same score only for Pacquiao, 10-2. No disrespect to Algieri, but Pacquiao is far from finished.

Sorry brah, but you're not a good fight for Pacquiao. Most fighters sure, but not Pacquiao.

That being said, I'm rooting for Algieri to pull off the upset.

He's "shot"? Where are people getting this?

Manny at 75% of what he was in 2009 is still a nightmare for the majority of guys @ 147 today. He blanked Rios like it was nothing, and then embarrassed Bradley who was like #3 P4P.

The only way Manny loses this is if he doesnt take it seriously. He has been known to slack off, so anything is possible. But if the Pac that beats Rios and Bradley shows up, Algieri is in for some pain.

They also save a lot of tax money by fighting in China. Tax rates in Vegas are around 40% as opposed to only 12% in China. Check out this article by Forbes on the tax situation in Vegas Vs China..

Algieri is so confident that means upset.

He had the same type of confidence going into the Ruslan fight and people laughed, he proved them wrong.

His confidence already secured his victory. Never doubt a man who is hungry and beaming with confidence.

Chris already tasted the power of the hardest hitting 140 pounder in Ruslan, so he won't even be shook by Pacmans punches, Pacman can't really hurt anyone hard at 147, so Chris has this in the bag.

This fight is one of those bettors dream fights, live underdog, and at a huger return like 14-1?

This guy is no long shot like MAidana either, Chris can actually pull the upset off and outbox Pac, since he is not tailormade like a flat foot maidana who telegraph his punches the same Maidana who got outbox by a shot fat old Erik Morales who had one eye closed and cleaned out by Devon Alexander.

I would bet Chris who had one eye closed would out box Maidana like Morales did. chris is no joke, the new face of boxing and he will tap into the white american market and maybe get some female fans as well with his movie star looks.

This will be the first time Pacman will be the villain.
