Comments Thread For: Fletcher Confident of Title Win, Looks Forward To Golovkin

Australian underdog Jarrod Fletcher is convinced the stars have aligned for him as he strives to deliver on a boxing world title dream he's had for two decades.

The 30-year-old Queenslander will fight American Danny Jacobs in Brooklyn, New York later tonight for the vacant WBA 'regular' middleweight title.

Fletcher (18-1, 10 KOs) was originally mandated to challenge IBO/WBA 'super' champion Gennady Golovkin.

Fletcher won't have to worry about GGG after tonight.

Aussie fighters are not having a good run... Shoot, Solimon has the best chance of winning and he's fighting an old shot Jermain Taylor who has trouble just getting a liscence to fight

That right hand Pirog put on Danny was vicious, Fletcher better be looking for the same.

Did this guy really believe Jacobs was only a stepping Stone for him?

Golovkin/Fletcher almost happened, too. If the WBA had insisted, Golovkin would have had to defend against him rather than Geale.

It's beyond me how Fletcher could've had a #2 world middleweight ranking...

Welp, what's the deal with Australians? They can't throw a pretty punch if their life depended on it. They literally look like Kangaroos in there.
