Sometimes, it’s easy to miss how lucky fight fans are in 2014.

There was a time when much of the world’s action was, at best, read about the day after in the morning news. At worst, an accurate description of title fight action in smaller weight classes or foreign lands waited a couple of months for a new Ring Magazine.

    It’s different now.

In 2014, there can be half dozen or more cards on the same day, in multiple languages, across all sorts of weight classes. Two decades ago, it is likely only a dedicated tape trader would have seen this Saturday’s best fight. [Click Here To Read More]

Happy to read the Salka/Garcia cherry didn't make the picks of the week, otherwise I think the Television Picks of the Week would have lost all credibility.

The Katsunari Takayama vs Francisco Rodriguez Jr fight sounds great and like it will be action packed. It's fights like this one that desserve to and should be on Showtime or HBO this weekend. I'll be watching this fight on Saturday even if I have to stream it.

No need. Should be in most Spanish packages. If you don't have, go to your cable acct. management (or call), order the package for a day, then turn it off. Cost you very little.

I remember a time where watching/recording all the shows on a busy weekend was nearly impossible. Even worse now is the fact that nearly all the action is squeezed into two days of the weekend as opposed to the old midweek fights early cable networks like ESPN and USA used to air. I am fortunate to have two dvrs grabbing everything so I don't miss out and any fights. This is coming from a dedicated tape trader from two decades ago!
