The summer season of Boxeo Telemundo has proven to be the most successful in the 25-year history of boxing on the network—and it still has one week to go. The season finale comes this weekend, when unbeaten Puerto Rican prospect Daniel Rosario Cruz hits the road to face Edgar Ortega at Salon Jose Cuervo in Mexico City (Friday, Telemundo, 11:35 p.m. ET).
The scheduled 10-round welterweight bout carries a familiar series theme of Mexico vs. Puerto Rico, a formula that has rarely disappointed.
