Sergio "Yeyo" Thompson (29-3, 26KOs), fresh from his win over Ricardo Alvarez for the WBC International lightweight title on March 8th, will return tomorrow night in Chetumal against Adones Aguelo (21-9-2, 13KOs) in a WBC super featherweight eliminator for the right to face full World Boxing Council (WBC) champion Takashi Miura of Japan. Cancun Boxing will promote the card. A good sized crowd came out to watch the official weigh-in for the card. Both fighters came in at 129.8-pounds.
Former WBC super bantamweight champion Victor "Viking" Terrazas (37-3-1, 21 KO's) was set to face Jesus "Chito" Rios (29-5-1, 23 KO's) in the co-feature but the fight was canceled when Terrazas withdrew with an injury.
