Comments Thread For: Haye Aims For Two Fights This Year, Klitschko Rematch

Former two division world champion David Haye (26-2, 24KOs) is aiming to get in at least two fights before the end of the year. Haye, 33, has been inactive since a TKO victory over Dereck Chisora in 2012. He suffered injuries that forced two withdrawals from scheduled dates against Tyson Fury and also had a hand injury that forced him out of a planned fight with Manuel Charr.

I see this guys name more then I see him fight. In the last 5 years he's been in the ring clapping for ank th er fighter more then he's been in the ring fighting. Can someone tell me why do writer's waste good column space on this guy? He's not going to fight anyone but he'll damn sure talk about fighting. He's like that guy at the playground that everyone thinks he's tough until some little girl sends him home crying like a little (Well y'all know the rest)......

I wish Haye would just fight and earn his way to Wlad, not talk about him

            Is Haye a free agent?
Maybe Charr will finally get his shot...

Well, his whole HW career revolved around Klitschkos. You can hardly find the interview where he doesn't mention Wlad or Vitali.

Anyway, if he beats Wilder and Fury (or one of them), the rematch would be ok. KOing Haye doesn't do much for Wlad, but it would be a nice add-on on his resume.

I think that's pretty natural though as Wlad is the champion. And especially given the history they have with each other. Before they fought it was the same for Wlad.

Instead of saying the things like Wlad doesn't want to fight unless he's mandatory, he should just say he wants to earn his rematch.

He needs to beat some good guys for sure. I think KOing Haye would be significant on Wlad's resume. Maybe not now when he's inactive, but if it happened when they fought.

Unfortunately, Haye has put himself in the position where he is a big risk, low reward.

Not many people would give credit to Wlad even if he KOs Haye (especially if Haye doesn't beat Wilder or Fury), but if Haye beats Wlad, Wlad looses A LOT!

Still I like the fight and I see it ending with KO. Haye would have to be much more aggressive. Skill-wise I still think he is up there on no 2, possibly with Fury and Povetkin.
