German light heavyweight Karo Murat, last seen in action in October of last year losing to IBF champion Bernad Hopkins, has signed a four-year contract with EC Boxing in Hamburg, writes boxen-heute.de. Muratīs contract with Sauerland Event expired at the end of the year and it wasnīt renewed. Karo will make his debut for EC on October 31. Murat (25-2-1) had previously been trained by Ulli Wegner in Berlin but will now switch camp to Oktay Urkal and Hamburg.
