  • Comments Thread For: Porter on Thurman Clash: I'll Fight 'One Time' Two Times!

Shawn Porter is well aware of the tough challenge that lies ahead. The unbeaten welterweight titlist defends his belt for the second time when he faces England’s Kell Brook (32-0, 22KOs) on August 16 at the StubHub Center in Carson, California.

Any fighter would be foolish to look beyond present business. At the same time, Porter (24-0-1, 15KOs) isn’t one to offer cookie cutter answers or hide behind the ‘I fight who they put in front of me’ cloak that so many fighters choose to wear when presented with an on-the-spot matchup request.

I can't imagine who Thurman can fight on September 13th? They should match him up at 154 against a Charlo brother.

This fight should of been made before the Brooks fight. Brooks is about to get trashed.

I have no idea who wins this...

            Leaning toward Thurman.

If he gets caught, I can see Porter going for the kill.

Porter has repeatedly called out Thurman

Thurman keeps talking about fighting Floyd but when asked about Porter he gets evasive with his answers. Not sure who would win however I give a slight not to Porter only because I think he's not sure he can actually be Porter.

Was listening to an interview from Kenny Porter. He said that Thurman worked with Porter a lot in the past and if what he was saying is true, there is a reason why Thurman wouldn't be so quick to get it on with Porter.

I've seen Keith many times & he has it all, but really don't know how well he'll stand up 2 hard shots, he rarely gets hit w/combos, but I like him over Porter, but Porter beats Brook...

Porter Is The Real Deal; Hell Expose Brook & Thurman

Thurman isn't fighting enough, hasn't fought anyone but Karass. Porter is too athletic won't get caught flush and will drain Thurman's tank.
