Comments Thread For: Booth: Haye Wants to Fight Again, I Support Him

David Haye has told his trainer, Adam Booth, that he wants to return to the ring, and Booth says he’s OK with the former cruiserweight champion and heavyweight titleholder doing so.

“He said I want to fight,” Booth told BoxingScene.com on July 25, the day before Booth cornered heavyweight Mike Perez in Perez’s split decision loss to Bryant Jennings. “It’s his choice. If he’s convinced and he’s genuine about it, I’m going to support him.”

But he talks a good one. That's all that matters right?

Maybe there is some truth to it but not every fighter fits to a certain trainer...
haye and booth is the best example they are not just trainer and fighter they are friends aswell and know each other for a long time.
when you have that bond it works out well

He's not terrible obviously. He's just overrated. Big difference.

Pulled out of Charr fight then Tyson Fury twice. Has Haye got it in him for a 4th consecutive pull out? hes past his prime and coming off an injury! he'll have to train hard to make this the best pull out of his career!

Booth is a good trainer, so what fighters have lost

Perez has had one fight under Booth, so now Booth is responsible for that loss?

Groves did well under Booth, Haye did pretty damn well

The difference is, as a trainer Steward won about 50 world title fights, with very few losses.

Fighters trained by Booth usually go downhill (Aydin, Perez, Groves). He did a poor job of preparing Perez for the showdown with Jennings.

Booth's record as a trainer is overall very poor.
