    Results of a blood tests have left junior middleweight Glen Tapia unable to fight Salim Larbi on the undercard of the July 26 card at Madison Square Garden featuring a main event between middleweight titleholder Gennady Golovkin and challenger Daniel Geale.

    BoxingScene.com spoke with Tapia about it after the July 25 weigh-in, which he didn’t participate in.

      Tapia is one of my favorites fighters. We live close to one another. Hope he's good.

        Me too, I live a town away from Passaic. A kid I worked with at FedEx last year is good friends with Glen they went to HS together.

              Sounds like he has unusual cell count so maybe they cycle his blood for oxygen or nutrients. Usually something stemming from a kidney issue. At least it wasn't PED stuff which would've been bad. Glad he's trying to talk about it, at first going by the headline I thought he got caught being dirty. Thank god it's not the case.

                Sucks they dont let him fight when everyone else in the world does. Hopefully this doesnt set a percedent that other places follow and not let this dude fight.

                PS: first thing I thought cause of the wording of the title it was HIV, reminded me of poonswat (however you spell his name) situation. Usually when it PED's BoxingScene will put it in the title.
