Comments Thread For: Brandon Rios: It Wont Be Easy, I Have To Win This Fight

Former world champion Brandon "Bam Bam" Rios (32-2-1, 23KOs) wants to prove he is still one of the most dangerous fighters in boxing. Returning from back to back defeats to Mike Alvarado and Manny Pacquiao, he has a tough HBO televised assignment with Argentina's Diego "La Joya" Chaves (23-1, 19 KOs) in a scheduled ten round welterweight fight on Saturday August 2, at the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas.

Gotta give Rios credit for this gutsy fight. Chaves is a tough dude with heavy hands and decent skills.

If Rios wins, it will be a spectacular effort. But I wouldn't be surprised if he got KTFO.

He might could jack a belt after they are broken up at 140 when Garcia abandons the divison and vacates. Outright beating any belt holder right now at 140/147 highly unlikely.

I like Rios he ducks no one but this fight is dangerous for him, infact it may seriously cause him some life shortening injuries. Chaves punches very hard and Rios does take his chin for granted,

He may get KTFO, I hope not.
