Comments Thread For: Mayweather Eyes KO: Maidana Can't Fight Any Better

Floyd Mayweather Jr. (46-0, 26KOs) appears confident that Marcos Maidana (35-4, 31KOs) is not capable of fighting any better than he did in their previous fight on May 3rd. Mayweather will defend his WBC/WBA welterweight titles against Maidana in a rematch on September 13th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Their fight bout was won by Mayweather with a twelve round majority decision.

Only chance Floyd has to KO Maidana is with a body shot, although a KO is not very likely. But Maidana did slow down a lot in the second half of the fight because of the body work by Floyd. He needs to do more.

this was a good honest and respectful answer from Floyd. Gave props to Garcia (he has alot of respect for him despite all the shade Floyd's been throwing) while stlll thinking that Maidana had everything going for him in the 1st fight but the 2nd time around Floyd can go to a different level. The question is at this age, can he go to another level or is he more likely to go down a level

Agree that Maidana can't do any better. But Floyd isn't knocking him out.

I guess we'll hear all kinds of stories about Mayweather breaking his sparring partners during this training camp.

When the hell was the last time Floyd KOed anyone? Man I'm surprised, dodging and ducking punches can still leave you a bit brain damaged, either that or he's trying to hype a potential 600k PPV buy fight.

I think the last time Mayweather put someone on the canvas was 09 when he fought marquez.

No, no, no Floyd. Stop claiming a ko is on the cards, when you show you cant. But its clear you wish you was able to ko people, but just cant, which shows you aren't as good as youd like to be.

You aren't as good as Pac, as Pac you used to ko people for fun. Its harder for Pac now, as his opponents try avoid being ko'ed by not attacking as much. But when opponents go hell for leather trying to ko you, they leave themselves open, yet you still cant ko them with the punches they didn't see.
That's how bad you are at ko'ing people.
